Madelyn Patten Ginkel
Madelyn Patten Ginkel was born May 17, 1911 to Arthur and Mary Patten in Melrose, MA. She died June 28, 2006 in Tucson, AZ of congestive heart failure.
She is survived by a son, Richard Bishop (Dorothy) of Burke Center, VA and a daughter, Jeanne Struck of Tucson, AZ, as well as seven grandchildren, Timothy Struck (Christine), Michael Struck (Lynn), Susan Richards (Scott) of Des Moines, IA, Carrie Struck (Mark Whitney) of Council Bluffs, IA, Katherine Koons (Paul) of Indiana, PA, and Daniel Struck (Darcy) of Phoenix, AZ, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August Ginkel.
Her life was defined by her sewing, her family and her love of nature.
Memorials may be directed to the YWCA of Tucson, 738 N. 5th Ave. Suite 110, Tucson, 85705 in care of Janet Marcotte. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26th, at 1030 a.m. at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
