LEEDS -- Gladys C. Buckley, 78, died Thursday at her home here after a short illness.
She was born Nov. 26, 1895 at Monmouth, the daughter of George and Mary Hammond Canwell. She was educated in Monmouth and taught school in Leeds. In 1914, she was married to Guy Buckley of Leeds, a former representative who died in 1971. She was a member of the Leeds Grange and Leeds Community Church.
Surviving are three sons, Russell and Guy, Leeds and Raymond, Lansing, N.Y.; two brothers, Clyde and Clifton Canwell, North Monmouth; a sister, Mrs. Geneva Nims, Kensington, Conn.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
BUCKLEY -- In Leeds, March 7, 1974, Gladys C. Buckley. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bragdon Flanders Funeral Home where friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make contributions to Leeds Community Church through the church treasurer. Interment in Leeds Center Cemetery.
