Clyde Canwell
NORTH MONMOUTH -- Clyde W. Canwell, 72, died Wednesday at the Augusta General Hospital following a long illness.
He was born at Monmouth, May 6, 1902 [sic], the son of George and Mary Hammond Canwell. He was educated in Monmouth and was employed for many years at the Winthrop Woolen Mills.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Alden of East Rochester, N.H., Mrs. Wavalette Lamper of Berwick; a son, Norman, East Pepperell, Mass.; a brother, Clifton, of this town; a sister, Mrs. Geneva Nims of Kensington, Conn.; and 17 grandchildren.

CANWELL -- In Augusta, August 14, 1974, Mr. Clyde W. Canwell, age 72. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Bragdon-Flanders Funeral Home, Monmouth, where friends may call Thursday evening 7 to 9 p.m. Interment at North Monmouth Cemetery.
