TURNER -- Rowena E. Jordan, 86, a resident of 520 North Parish Road, died Saturday, Dec. 16, at her home. She was born in Turner on March 2, 1914, the daughter of Charles and Myrtie Coombs McLaughlin. She was educated in Turner schools and was a graduate of Leavitt Institute with the class of 1932. On Aug. 3, 1934, she married Stanely M. Jordan. She had been employed at the Priscilla Rug Shop in Turner for many years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Turner. An avid bowler, she also enjoyed square dancing, traveling, playing cards, her flowers and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Stanley M. Jordan of Turner; three daughters, Shirley and her husband Thomas Nabozny of Yuma, Az.; Beverly and her husband, Frank Youland of Parachute, Co.; Brenda and her husband David Harrington of Turner; four sons, Larry and his wife Nancy Jordan of Turner; Wayne and his wife Marilyn Jordan of Lee; Gary and his wife Barbara Jordan of Greene; and Daniel and his wife Tina Jordan of Turner; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters, Almeda, Manola and Charline, one brother, Ronald McLaughlin; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
