BRUNSWICK -- Thurston H. Hutchins, 91, of the River Road, died Saturday at a hospital here.

He was born at New Portland, March 26, 1893, the son of Mark and Emma Day Hutchins. He attended New Portland schools and Phillips High School. He later took a course in agriculture at the University of Maine. Mr. Hutchins was a farmer most of his life and moved here from New Portland in 1937. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church of Brunswick, where he served as deacon for many years and was an honorary deacon. He married Anna Johnston in Brunswick in 1917. She died Nov. 7, 1969.

He is survived by three sons, Erwin of Waldoboro, Mark of Mexico, and William of Lindley, N.Y.; four daughters, Martha Stickney of Toronto, Canada, Alena Fraser of Brunswick, Luella Fraser of Painted Post, N.Y. and Clara Hutchins of Brunswick; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
