Mona C. Moores

Mona C. Moores, 68, dies early Tuesday morning at the Colby Nursing Home after a long illness.

Born at Jay, Aug. 22, 1897, she was the daughter of Eugene and Manilla (Mitchell) Cox. She was educated in the schools of Livermore Falls and was married to former Police Capt. George W. Moores, who died April 3, 1957.

Survivors include three brothers, George Cox of Quincy, Mass., Berton of Norfolk, Mass. and Edson of Livermore; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Chapple of Bushnell, Fla., Mrs. Geneva Ziegler of Newport Richie, Fla., and Mrs. Myrtle Hennings of Newport Richie, Fla.

DIED - In Auburn, March 8, Mona C. Moores, widow of George W. Moores. Funeral services will be held from the Plummer & Merrill Funeral Home, 212 Turner St., March 10 at 1 p.m. Entombment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Burial in the spring at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
