WILLIAM CHARLES DIONNE
BREWER and OLD TOWN -- William C. Dionne, 60, husband of Gloria (Ouellette) Dionne, died peacefully, Dec. 13, 2001, at a Bangor hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. He was born June 21, 1941 in Old Town, a son of Albert F. and Marjorie M. (Madden) Dionne.
Bill was a 1959 graduate of Old Town High School, where he had been class president. Following graduation, he enlisted with the U.S. Air Force, (1959-1963). He was employed by Pepsi for 23 years, and was employed by Northern Log Homes for the last several years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1287 BPOE of Old Town and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Fr. Druillette Council of Old Town. He was an avid sports fan and participated for many years in the Knights of Columbus Bowling League, where he had served as president.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Gloria of Brewer; his mother and step-father, Marjorie and Randolph St. Peter; three children, Marsha Smith and her husband, Robert of Glenburn, Kimberly Blair and her husband Glenn, of Milford, Kevin Dionne of Milford; a sister, Mary Ann Sibley and her husband, Gary of Old Town; three step-sisters Linda St. Peter, Karen Alexander, and Sheila Kelly and her husband, Pat; a step-brother, Tony St. Peter and his wife, Pam; four granddaughters, Darcy Lynn Smith, Amanda Lee Smith, Lindsey Erin Blair, Jenna Marie Dionne; four very special life long friends, Sonny and Donna Guay and Bob and Pat Boucher, all of Old Town; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Albert.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 287 South Main St., Old town, where members of the Knights of Columbus will recite prayers at 7:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, at Holy Family Parish, with the Rev. Normand Richard, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
