MAUDE K. WELLMAN

Maude K. Wellman, 96, of 115 Summer St., Auburn, a summer resident of Higgins Beach at Scarborough, died early this morning at the Central Maine General Hospital, Lewiston, where she had been a patient two days.

Born at Auburn, Sept. 3, 1878, the daughter of George T. and and Nellie Page Kingsley, she received her education in the schools of Auburn. She was a member of the Sixth Street Congregational Church. In 1902, she married Archie M. Wellman. He died in 1963.

Mrs. Wellman is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Wellman of Auburn, Mrs. Walter (Meredyth) Hodsdon of Rochester, N.Y.; a half-sisters, Mrs. Curtis McReavy of Brewer; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

WELLMAN -- In Lewiston, March 31, 1975, Mrs. Maude K. Wellman of 115 Summer St., Auburn, widow of Archie M. Wellman. At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours and graveside services will be held later at Mount Auburn Cemetery. Those wishing may make contributions to the Gard W. Twaddle Nurses Endowment Fund, 300 Main St., Lewiston. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Plummer & Merrill.
