DANFORTH -- A. Lyle Schillinger, 84, died Oct. 30 at a Houlton hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Danforth Oct. 25, 1889, son of Arthur and Mary (Lindsay) Schillinger, and was a lifelong resident. He was a retired farmer and attended schools in Danforth and was a member of Grand Lake Grange.

He was the widower of the late Vera (Mowrey) Schillinger, who died May 22, 1973. He is survived by a son, Karl of Danforth; a daughter, Mrs. Reecyl Fitzpatrick, Millinocket; two brothers, Lindsay, Danforth and Raymond, Longley, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Abby French, Orrington; four grandchildren, Gary Fitzpatrick, Skowhegan, Ann Fitzpatrick, Lincoln, Peter Fitzpatrick, Millinocket, and Dellis Sam Huff, Danforth; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Bartlett Funeral Home, Danforth, with the Rev. Richard Shaw officiating. Interment in Danforth Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
