LOUISE A. BARTON
LINCOLN -- Louise A. Barton, 81, died April 16, 1979 in a Presque Isle nursing home. She was born May 14, 1897 in East Lincoln, daughter of Edwin A. and Maude (Tobin) Knights.
She was a member of the Lincoln Congregational Church, Lincoln Center Community Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and member and past worthy matron of the Eastern Star in Lincoln. She was a member of the guild, the Orion Club, and the Lee Literary Club. She was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy and Beal Business College. She was employed at the Easter Pulp and Paper Co. for five years.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Barton of Jensen Beach, Fla. and James Barton of Presque Isle; a daughter, Mrs. Guy (Nadia) Leadbetter of Burlington, Vt.; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Wolcott, Lincoln; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Barton Funeral Home, Lincoln, the Rev. Theodore Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the Heart Fund.
