FIND WOMAN DEAD IN WINTHROP HOME
WINTHROP -- Mrs. Eva J. Bishop, 79, was found dead in her Oak St. home Wednesday night.
Dr. Leon Herring, medical examiner, said Thursday that the woman apparently died Tuesday of natural causes. Officials were called to the Bishop home when neighbors became alarmed because they had not seen Mrs. Bishop since the early part of the week.
Born in Winthrop, July 20, 1881, she was the daughter of James and Lida Frost Raymond. Mrs. Bishop was past noble grand of Arthur Lovejoy Rebekah Lodge and past president of the Winthrop BPW Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Stetson, Winthrop; two sons, Raymond, Farmingdale and Lawrence, serving in Germany in the U.S. Army; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
