ROBERT L. THOMPSON
LEDYARD, Conn. -- Robert L. Thompson, 45, died suddenly at his home, Oct. 5.
He was born in Lee, Maine, March 31, 1929, the son of Samuel and Margaret (Fox) Thompson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, graduate of Lee Academy in 1946, and Maine Maritime Academy in 1949.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Higgins and step father Harold Higgins both of Jonesport, widow of Joyce (Cobb) Thompson of Ledyard; two sons, Philip of Groton, Conn., Jon of Ledyard; one sisters, Mrs. Barbara York of Cumberland, Maine.
Private committal services will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee. Those who wish may donate to their favorite charity in Mr. Thompson's memory.
