MARGARET T. HIGGINS
WALDOBORO -- Margaret T. Higgins, 85, of Waldoboro, and formerly of Jonesport, died May 22, 1996 in Damariscotta.
She was born in Lowell Oct. 30, 1910, the daughter of Lloyd and Angie Goodwin Fox. She was a graduate of Lee Academy. She worked for 25 years in the credit department of Sears & Roebuck Co. in Baltimore. In 1973, she and her husband retired and moved to Jonesport. They spent winters in Florida and in 1986, they moved to Waldoboro. She was a member of the Orffs Corner Community Church.
Surviving are her husband, Harold S. Higgins of Waldoboro; one daughter, Barbara T. York of Cumberland Foreside; two sisters, Anne Bland of St. Petersburg, Fla., Leura Rolfe of Lowell; one brother, Richard Fox of Lowell; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Robert and Sam Thompson.
A remembrance service and tribute to her life will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro, with the Rev. Vernon Jordan officiating. Interment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemtery, Augusta.
