Benjamin R. Hester, 94, 118 15h Ave. N., died Monday at the Good Sheperd Nursing Home, Sauk Rapids. He was born Dec. 6, 1875, in Iroquois County, Illinois, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hester.
Mr. Hester was an auctioneer many years and farmed east of here 40 years. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his widow, Julia; children, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Frampton and Arnold, St. Cloud; Donald, Cass Lake, Minn.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Benson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Benson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Drummond.
The family prefers memorials to the First Presbyterian Church.
