Mrs. Julia C. Hester, 90, formerly of 118 15th Ave. N., died Monday at the Good Sheperd Lutheran Nursing Home, Sauk Rapids. She was born Feb. 6, 1881, in Kankakee County, Ill. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Levi Vickery. She married Benjamin Hester and they farmed east of Sauk Rapids 40 years.
She was a member of the Crescent Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Sauk Rapids and the Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Hester is survived by children, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Frampton and Arnold, St. Cloud; and Donald, Cass Lake, Minn.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death on April 6, 1970.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Benson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Benton County Cemetery, Sauk Rapids.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Donald, Jeffrey, James and David Frampton; David, Dale and Gary Hester.
Friends may call at the Benson Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Members of the Crescent Chapter, OES, will have a memorial service at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
