Joseph A. Laforte, 66, of 79 Midway St., Indian Orchard, died Friday in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield Unit. Born in Boston, he was a junk dealer until his retirement.
He leaves his wife, the former Lear Douglass; a son, Joseph of East Hartford, Conn.; a daughter, Pamela of Daly City, Calif.; a brother, John Lychwala of Warren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Krupa of Indian Orchard.
The funeral will be Tuesday at McCarthy-Madamas Funeral Home with burial at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
