Santa Clara Woman Killed in Car Crash
Mrs. Darwin Hall, 41, of Santa Clara, was killed when an automobile in which she was a passenger plunged down a 20 foot bank near the eastern Oregon town of Baker early today.
Her husband was hospitalized, as were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth W. Miles of Baker.
State police said the driver apparently lost control of the car on a a curve.

September Looks Deadly
Crashes Fatal To 1 Each Day
A one car accident southwest of Baker and a head-on crash south of Cave Junction killed two California residents and lifted Oregon's traffic pace to one death per day for September.
Mrs. Darwin Hall, 41, Santa Clara, Calif., and 8 year old Carl Robert Jones, Chula Vista, were the victims as the Associated Press traffic count reached 373 for the year and three for the month.
Mrs. Hall was thrown out when the car in which she was riding with her husband and a Baker couple plunged off Oregon 220 and over a 20 foot embankment early Thursday.
The others were hospitalized after the accident on a curve 13 miles southwest of Baker.
The Jones boy died Wednesday evening after the head on collision of U.S. 199 three miles south of Cave Junction.
