Erma M. Johnson
OAKLAND -- Erma May Johnson, 88, died Tuesday evening at a Waterville hospital, following a long illness.
She was born in Eustis, Jan. 1, 1899, the daughter of Omer and Susie Smith Knapp. She graduated from Flagstaff High School. She and her husband owned and operated a tourist home in Stratton for many years. Mrs. Johnson resided a short time in Farmington before moving to Oakland, where she has lived for the past several years with her daughter. She was a member of the Rangeley Episcopal Church and a 50 year life member of the Somerset Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in Stratton. Her husband, Gustaf Johnson and a daughter, Maxine Billington, died previously.
She is survived by a daughter, Marian Bonnell of Oakland; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

JORDAN -- Died in Waterville, April 28, 1987, Erma M. Johnson, age 88. Funeral services will be held at Flagstaff Cemetery, Eustis, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pine Tree Camp, 84 Front St., Bath, 04530. Arrangements by Wheeler Funeral Home, Oakland.
