Miss Lois Poole Afternoon Bride
Hickey [sic] St. Girl Married to Carl E. Rosenholm

The marriage of Miss Lois Abigail Poole, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lowell Poole of Hickory St., to Carl Edward Rosenholm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rosenholm of Governor St., took place yesterday at the home of the bride. Rev. Elmo Young, pastor of the Asbury Methodist Church performed the ceremony at 3 o'clock. Mrs. May Drummond Randall was the bride's only attendant and Marshall C. Randall served Mr. Rosenholm as best man.

The bride was dressed in white organdy eyelet with a blue tulle hat and shoulder veil. She carried a bouquet of garden flowers. Her matron of honor was costumed in pink organdy with matching tulle hat and also carried garden flowers.

Following a reception for relatives and close friends, the couple left for the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, the bride traveling in a tangerine silk shantung suit with black accessories. They will be at home at 115 Governor St. after Sept. 1

The bride was graduated from Classical High School and attended Bay Path Institute and American International College. She is employed in the Kellogg Division of the United States Envelope Co. The bridegroom is a graduate of Technical High School and is employed by the Western Electric Corp.

Lois A. Rosenholm


Lois A. (Poole) Rosenholm, 80, of Governor Street, died Friday in Baystate Medical Center.

She had been a customer service representative at Western Massachusetts Electric Co.

Born in Westfield, she graduated from the former Classical High School and attended American International College. During World War II she served in the Navy Waves. She was an active member of Liberty United Methodist Church and its Martha's Group.

Her husband, Carl E. Rosenholm, died last year.

She leaves a son, Eric of West Springfield; two brothers, William Poole and Robert Poole, both of Springfield; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be Tuesday morning at Dickinson-Streeter Funeral Home, with burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday afternoon and evening. Memorial gifts may be made to church Memorial Fund, 821 Liberty St., Springfield, MA 01104.
