Marion Poole, 88, taught in Agawam

Marion J. (Johnson) Poole, 88, of 115 Governor St., Springfield, retired teacher in Agawam schools, died Tuesday in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield unit.

She also worked in the home economics department of Western Massachusetts Electric Co.

Born in Brownville, Maine, she lived in Springfield most of her life and was a member of East Longmeadow United Methodist Church and the former Asbury Church.

She was the widow of Ben Poole.

She leaves two sons, Robert C. and William L., and a daughter, Lois Rosenholm, all of Springfield; a brother, Herbert Johnson of Chelmsford; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The funeral will be Thursday morning at the Dickinson-Streeter Funeral Home with burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or any charity.
