Services for Marguerite S. Goff, 93, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rumsey's Funeral Home. Private burial will follow the service.
Mrs. Goff died Saturday, June 1, 1991, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 27, 1897, in Parsons, the daughter of Frederick Schroeter and Anna Ringo Schroeter.
She was a teacher in Eudora public schools and worked at the Hercules Ammunition Plant, near DeSoto, and Snyder Garden Center.
For 20 years, she was an accredited judge for local, state and national flower shows. She was a former president of the Lawrence Flower Club, a sponsor of the Lawrence Junior Flower Club and a member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs.
Mrs. Goff attended Drury College in Springfield, Mo., and graduated from Kansas University in 1932. She completed coursework for a master's degree in journalism. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, the VFW Auxiliary, 10 40 Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Ward "Cotton" Goff, and two children, Gloria Larrabee and Ward Melvin Goff.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Behnke, Scottsbluff, Neb.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Flower Club in care of Rumsey's.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
