Shirley Leadbetter

LIVERMORE --
Shirley Francis Leadbetter, 87, died at Fairview Hospital, Skowhegan, Sunday morning where he had been a patient one week. Prior to his hospitalization he made his home for some time with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Winston Willey, Skowhegan.

He was born in Leeds, October 27, 1881, the son of Charles K. and Ella Stinchfield Leadbetter. He was educated in schools of Leeds and was employed as an interior decorator with Harry Cochoran of Monmouth for many years. Mr. Leadbetter was later employed by the International Paper Co., retiring in 1948, after more than 25 years of service. He married the former Nellie Danforth who died in 1954. Mr. Leadbetter was a 50 year member of the Franklin Chapter, AF & AM.

Surviving are two sons, Charles N. of Livermore and George of Newport; two daughters, Mrs. Rena Willey, Skowhegan, and Mrs. Rachael White, Auburn; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

DIED -- At Skowhegan, Sunday August 17, Shirley F. Leadbetter. Services at the L.P. Brown Funeral Home, Livermore Falls, Wednesday at 1 p.m. Friends may also call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
