George Turner
NORTH MONMOUTH -- George Errold Turner, 70, of 101 Sherburne St., Manchester, N.H. died at the VA Hospital Boston on Wednesday.
He was born May 6, 1906 in Waterville, the son of Budd W. and Mabel Canwell Turner. He was educated in Lewiston and Rumford schools and Monmouth Academy. Mr. Turner was chief radio operator in World War II, retiring in 1956. For many years he worked at the Winthrop Woolen Mills, North Monmouth, Elliot Hospital, the Manchester Savings Bank and Sacred Heart Hospital, Manchester, N.H. He was a member of the Disabled Americans Veterana Chapter, Manchester, N.H. and the VFW in Winthrop.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Leila Carter, Manchester, N.H.
Funeral Notice
TURNER -- In Boston, Mass. May 19, 1976, George B. Turner [sic], Manchester, N.H. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Bragdon-Flanders Funeral Home, Monmouth where friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Interment in Leeds Center Cemetery
