Percival T. Hinkley
LEWISTON -- Percival T. Hinkley, 90, of Upper Street, Turner, died Wednesday morning at Central Maine Medical Center.
Born at Mexico, Sept. 22, 1902, the son of John Bryant and Josephine True Hinkley, he was educated in schools of Mexico.
Mr. Hinkley was married many years ago to the former Alice Jordan. She died at St. Petersburg, Fla. Jan 8, 1989. On April 25, 1991, he was married to Alice Bonney Marvill at Pinellas Park, Fla.
For many years he was owner and operator of P.T. Hinkley Trucking Co. of Turner.
Survivors include his wife of Turner; one daughter, Arlene Sampson of Turner; two sons, Donald T. and Russell A., both of Turner; one sister, Rebecca Roberts of Cape Elizabeth; two brothers, Edward B. and Paul R., both of Turner; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one step-daughter, Norma Pacheco of Plymouth, Mass.; and one step-son, Wilford Tompkins of Whitefield, N.H. He was predeceasd by a brother, Herbert of Turner, who died in 1924.
HINKLEY -- Died in Lewiston, Feb. 3, 1993, Percival T. Hinkley, age 90, of Turner, husband of the former Alice Bonney Marvill. Funeral services will be held from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham and Son Friday, Feb. 5 at 1 p.m. Entombment will be at Village Cemetery, Turner, with burial to take place there in the spring. Friends may call at the chapel Thursday, 2 to 4 and 4 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Turner Rescue, c/o Laurel Gagne, Turner, 04282, in his memory.
