Marguerite B. (Gray) Carey

ORLAND

Marguerite B. (Gray) Carey, 76, passed peacefully Jan. 2, 2007, at a Blue Hill hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 18, 1930, daughter of Marvin R. and Evelyn B. Gray.

Marguerite enjoyed her flower gardens, feeding the hummingbirds, and canning. She was a loving and thoughtful caregiver to her parents and in-laws and loved her grandchildren and their children very much.

She is survived by her two daughters, Paula Carey-Lord and her husband, Dale, of Orland, Midge (Carey) Wallace and her husband, Gregg. of Old Town; five grandchildren, Shawn Sargent and his wife, Wendy, Amanda Sargent, Luke Wallace U.S.N., Seth Wallace, Caleb Wallace; four great-grandchildren, Autumn Carey, D.J. Sargent, Matthew Sargent, Melody Joy Sargent; one brother, Ralston Gray of Orland; many well-loved nieces and nephews. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Herbert W. "Bud" Carey in 2004; sister, Elaine Leach; brother, Dick Gray.

There will not be services per her request. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital Activity Fund, P.O. Box 823, Blue Hill, ME 04614. Arrangements by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
