ALFRED L. CLEMONS
LEE -- Alfred L. Clemons, 75, husband of Winifred (Whalen) Clemons, died May 18, 1999, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born in Lee, April 19, 1924, the son of Blaine and Luda (Lowell) Clemons.
Alfred graduated from Lee Academy and was a veteran of World War II. He was a life member of the VFW in Lincoln, and was a successful potato farmer for many years. Alfred was a trustee and a member of the Board of Directors of Lee Academy. He loved hunting, fishing and trapping and raised beautiful gardens for years.
In addition to his wife, Winifred, he is survived by a grandson, Blaine "Spike" Clemons; and a very precious son-in-law, Dale Marston; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Blaine E. Clemons and a daughter, Ann L. Marston.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Clay Funeral Home, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee. Those who wish may donate in his memory to Blaine Clemons-Ann Clemons Marston Scholarship. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
