GORDON LINDSAY
NORTH MONMOUTH -- Gordon L. Lindsay, 66, died Monday night at the Maine Medical Center, Portland.
Born Oct. 31, 1913 in Monmouth, the son of George and Mildred Gowan Lindsay, he graduated from Monmouth Academy and attended Bates College, Lewiston. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of captain. He was a member of the Alfred-Maxwell American Legion Post of Winthrop. In 1944, he married Lorene Dee. He retired in 1975, coming to Monmouth from Hamden, Conn., where he was an underwriter for Nationwide Insurance Company.
Survivors include his widow of North Monmouth; two daughters, Gale Corriveau of Readfield and Patricia Kosma of Windsor; one son, Andrew of Rockville, Md.; one brother, Albert of Liberty, and six grandchildren.
LINDSAY -- at Portland, November 19, 1979, Gordon L. Lindsay, age 66. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the North Monmouth Community Church. Interment in Glenside Cemetery, Winthrop. Arrangements by Bragdon-Flanders Funeral Home, Monmouth.
