FERNALD F. HARRIS
GREENFIELD -- Fernald F. Harris, 66, died unexpectedly at his residence, July 22, 1985. He was born at Greenfield May 14, 1919, the son of Darrell and Julia (Madden) Harris. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He had been employed as an iron worker on structural steel and was a 27 year member of the Ironworkers Union. He was a member of the Greenfield Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Wilbur) Harris of Greenfield; three daughters, Rosalie Alexander and Linda Mason, both of Greenfield, and Deborah Carroll of Pensacola, Fla.; five sisters, Irma Bradbury of Old Town, Glenice Nye of Monroe, N.H., Hope Buchanan of Bradley, Faith Watson of Greenfield, Wilda Erb of East Millinocket; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at the Baillargeon Funeral Home, 109 Middle St., Old Town, with the Rev. Peter Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Greenfield Baptist Church.
